These Joyfestivals can be celebrations in the home, office, offsite location, in a nonprofit or private locale or even an online party. They have been gently tweaked by women’s groups and religious groups to serve their specific needs. Some of these have even been done as professional development programs, outdoor educational experiences and continuing education.
What all Joyfestivals have in common is that they are gatherings especially meant to highlight and hone in on meaningful connections between those who are there and with the topic(s) being focused on for that type of Joyfestival.
Joyfestivals currently being featured and available as kits to purchase here include:
JOYFEST! • Celebrate Life Soiree! • Happiness Room! • C3 = Cards, Crafts & Connection!

A Few Tips on Gatherings and Parties in Various Locations, For Various Types of Events and Organizations and More:
Home Parties • Celebrations Offsite • Professional Development Gatherings
Online Parties • Faith – Based Group Gatherings.
Home Parties:
Some things to keep in mind for home parties are that the party may take over your living space for a while, while you plan for, set up and break down all of the various components. That being said, they are often wonderfully warm and cozy. It’s nice for guests to come to someone’s home and have that homey taste of sitting in someone’s living room getting to connect for crafting and greater connection (C3 = Cards, Crafts & Connection Gathering Kit,) or to come together at home for lots of pure joy, fun and happiness (How to Plan a JOYFEST! Basic Kit and Tutorial anyone?)!
Gatherings and parties in the home involve your personal style and all that entails. Keep in mind storage of all the items until the time of the event. You may want to have extra sets of hands to help out with set up and break down and ask for volunteers. Think if you need any additional chairs, tables, etc. Parking permits and noise levels in residential neighborhoods are also something to consider.
Celebrations Offsite:
Think about the site, storage of your items, bringing items there, where things can be left, but still be secure. How much space is there between your group and others for you to spread out and have a place for everything you want to do at the gathering? Other considerations include food and beverage rules/restrictions for the site/locale, parking and parking validation and if you need to sign a contract or put down a deposit, etc. If this is an event for colleagues at a workspace, keep in mind to check if you’re allowed to do these types of events during business hours or afterwards and any other worksite protocol matters. If this is an event for colleagues at a work space keep in mind to check if you are allowed to do these types of events during business hours or afterwards and any other work site protocol matters. These types of gatherings can lend themselves well to community meeting rooms and other spaces outside the home as well.
Professional Development Gatherings:
Happiness Rooms and JOYFEST Joyfestivals have successfully been run as events for professional development. Feel free to consult with Joyfestival Industries also if you, or your staff or organization, want to try to produce any of the Joyfestivals for a staff in-service or continuing education and professional development type workshop or check out the Happiness Room Kit and Tutorial and make a Pop – Up Happiness Room for your workspace or for those whom your organization services too.
Online Parties:
You could try to do a virtual Celebrate Life Soiree, for example, with video conferencing software, specifically for you and your friends. Consider party supplies that all participants could obtain, or easy crafting ideas people could do with items on hand. Check out the JOYFEST kit or the Happiness Room Kit & Tutorial for sample signs, wall signs and posters that can be printed out for use in different online gatherings for virtual backgrounds, banners and props. As technology changes, there will be new ways to involve people from different locations in your Joyfestival gathering and giving repertoire!
Faith – Based Group Gatherings:
Calling on others to think about what they are grateful for and what is divine providence in their lives speaks is the theme of the Celebrate Life Soiree: Celebrate Life Soiree Gathering Kit and Tutorial, but you could do any of these Joyfestival types of gatherings with your faith – based community. And it may be something your group or organization chooses to do for those in the greater community as well.
