All Amy’s themes are designed to remind us that none of us is alone – and that there are ways to find a bright spot, no matter what’s going on in our lives, and to be able to share the positives, which actually serves to make ourselves and whoever we’re sharing with feel so much better. I can’t think of anyone else with such a fertile imagination who can keep coming up with such great ideas, and implementing them the way she does!

It was simply intriguing to see what could be done to cause people to be in such a positive frame of mind. With her inspiring words and simple, refreshing ways to encourage participants to join in with their own thoughts, one can’t help leaving these events feeling relaxed, satisfied and content to have been there and to have met others who are receptive to the notion being put forward by Amy at that event, whether it’s joy, gratitude, laughter, or any other positive feeling!

Thank you for being the joy-mistress of our lives. Your evening soirees (and daytime party “matinees”) have been such a positive force in my life – and now in the lives of the public as well. Onward in strength and in joy.

Amy’s constant flow of creative ideas are built on a solid foundation of knowledge and sense of purpose. She connects with children and adults with equal facility, enthusiasm, and kindness. Her meaningful, interactive programs are a way to connect about “joy,” and learn new things too.

As a physician specializing in patients with anxiety, depression and haunting caused by past traumatic events, I am always searching for modalities to help them to heal. Despite the enormous advances in pharmaceuticals, the most potent elixir is still within the psyche of each individual. What therapists attempt is to assist everyone to unleash her own resources. These resources are buried deep in the subconscious. Numerous psychologists over the century have experimented on ways to tap into nature’s goldmine. It was Ms. Amy Muscoplat who first taught me the healing power of writing. For an hour over Starbucks coffee, she demonstrated to me the procedures of writing, and dazzled me with references from many authorities on its potential. By attending several of her workshops in person, I soon discovered that Amy is herself an effective authority. At the beginning of the workshop, she would explain to the participants the principles underlying writing for healing and provide some references for those who would like to explore for themselves. She would then start by providing a title, such as “anything which starts with the phrase: I am”. Participants are encouraged to initially write with as little reflection as possible, followed by a short personal reflective writing. The purpose is not to write beautifully. The essence is utter honesty. Most participants are reluctant to read their writings aloud to the group. That is a good sign, indicating the extreme privacy of their notes. In my own clinic, I would also give each patient a notebook and a pen and ask them to write in my presence. I discovered that such writings generate expedient routes deep into their own psyches. But I am never as skillful as Amy. For those who are still hesitant, I would recommend attending one of her workshops and experiencing the restorative power of mindful journaling yourselves.

I’m walking out of this Happiness Room, a conscious person. It changed my attitude for the day, maybe the week and it didn’t take a village. Amy Muscoplat is a creative genius.

Amy Muscoplat’s love of creative card making comes through whenever she teaches. It’s been a real treat to learn clever and creative ways to reach out and touch people with beautiful handmade cards I’ve had the pleasure of making in Amy’s excellent small group workshops! Amy takes time to give every student her personal attention. She has wonderful suggestions. You can truly see the love she has, not only for her craft, but also for people.

Amy’s crafting and writing programs are exciting and fun, and always well-attended. The participants ask for more of the same afterward!
